Cupping Therapy is an old method of Chinese healing to help increase blood circulation and release toxins. It is done by briefly placing a lit alcohol soaked cotton ball inside the cup to create a vacuum by depleting the oxygen. Then the cup is quickly placed on the skin. The suction inside the cup helps bring stagnant blood in congested soft tissue to the surface and allows fresh oxygenated blood to flow into the affected area. This technique quickens the healing process.
Cupping Therapy can be used for injured muscles and lung congestion. A cupping session takes 15 to 20 minutes.
